It's not controversial to say "water is unconditionally watery." After all, we can see water, touch water, feel water, and taste water. To say that it's unconditionally watery is a self-evident truth. (And in case you want to argue the point about vapor or steam -- well, then, we'd be talking about vapor or steam; not about water, right? 😅 )

But love? Hoo boy! Ask around and you'll get a hundred different answers to the question, "is love unconditional?" That's because people will base their answers on their own emotional experiences with love.

But I'm willing to bet that anyone who says that love isn't unconditional is saying that because they've experienced feelings of pain, anger, or grief in their love relationships. Maybe they've been hurt, abandoned, and betrayed by people who claimed to love them. Or maybe they had periods in their lives when they didn't feel any love at all.

The truth is, love was around long before people were. That means love isn't a man-made creation, so it doesn't depend on what men or women do (or don't do) in their own personal affairs. And whatever your own adventures or misadventures in love have led you to conclude about love's existence, the truth still stands.

The truth is, love is all there is. Whether you see love around you or not? Love is there. Whether you believe in love or not? Love is there. And here's the headline: whether you think you've experienced love or not? Love is STILL there. No matter what! Love is unconditional like that.

So the best news I can tell you today is that love isn't some abstract woo-woo concept, one that's too "out there" to need your participation in its crazy love-universe. The fact is, love is already here, and so are you. So let's get you relating to it directly. Scratch that: let's just get you guys acquainted, first!
